Not sure if I agree …
Not sure if I agree with dianactorline re: the heels off the step stretch. I found that to be really dangerous. Gentle actions are best for P.F. relief.
The video above shows good massage techniques; massage has definitely helped my feet.
The best overall P.F. resource I located was the book “Injury Afoot: 30 Things You Can Do to Relieve Plantar Fasciitis” on Amazon.

I’m a nurse too. Had 3 shots in one foot. 1 shot in the other. Not much relief and the day of the shot gave fire pain. I am finally getting some relief following this regimen: Limit work to 12 hours per week. Foot splinting at night. NB tenis shoes with orthotics 90% of the time. Stretching, ice, NSAIDS. FMLA for work. Getting better. DO NOT WEAR CROCS.

I am a nurse working 12hr shifts & by the end of my shift I would rather be dead than experience the heel pain I was having. I had several months of agonizing pain, I tried NSAIDS, stretching, icing, weekly therapy &cortisone injections. Then some1 told me to wear my orthotic all the time no barefeet. That really helped, then I got another injection and changed to Naproxen. No more foot pain. I hope this is helpful

I’ve been a Muscular Therapist for over 15 years, and I’ve had PF before. The best thing that I have done for myself and my patients was to wear sole inserts under each heel for 6weeks without interruption. No barefeet ever, the lifts need to be there the whole time, that is the hard part. Hope this helps those in need.
